Colon Blow

Colonblow is a product, which is no-nonsense, all natural, and somewhat aggressive approach to colon health. It started about 14 years ago by the founder, Matthew Gardner, who wanted to do something proactive about his health.

Among its products, the Colonblow 3-Pack is most common pick for beginners. The Colonblow 3-Pack is going to allow you to Colonblow three times, about 10 days apart.

Colonblow is the trademark name for a colon cleansing product which uses a combination of psyllium seed husks, stevia (powder) and cascara sagrada bark senna, prune and fig (capsules). The makers of this product claim that it can help the body eliminate the long term wastes which have accumulated on the walls of our intestines, even in people who have very regular bowel movements. Although not FDA-approved, its makers claim that they follow FDA guidelines and therefore the product should be safe for use.

This basically means that you should take Colonblow at your own risk. The product’s website has a section on testimonials showing comments of really satisfied customers, if you want to lessen your apprehension. The Colonblow regimen includes taking three successive doses during meals in a span of 24 hours, during which you can fast, eat light meals, or stay on your regular diet (termed aggressive, balanced, and chicken by the site’s fun-loving makers). Afterwards you can resume your normal diet once the 24-hour period is over.

So does it work? Other people may say it works, based on the countless gooey, black and slimy poop pictures plastered all over the website, probably sent by grateful customers. However, some people are skeptical about the whole product, claiming that it’s the ingredients themselves, like the psyllium, for example, which gives the resulting stool its black, gooey, and slimy appearance, and not the ‘accumulated’ waste materials as claimed by the makers.

So take the product at your own risk. It may not be harmful to you, if done moderately, but you have no scientific proof that Colonblow has any benefits, either. In the long run, keeping your colon healthy through a high-fiber, low fat diet, lots of fluids and exercise is still the best way to go, Colonblow or no Colonblow.
